Opportunities to make money from home have never been so accessible to so many people. The internet provides hundreds of programs for business owners and consumers alike to promote their products and earn money doing it. No longer do you need a degree in network marketing to be successful in sales. You need only a computer, and a great affiliate marketing program.

Selecting the Right Program
There are hundreds of affiliate programs. Some programs deal with specific types of products, such as digital information, while others partner with a wide range of businesses. In order to select a program that is right for you, keep in mind the following factors:

1. How are commissions calculated? Some affiliate programs pay based on the number of people you attract to the product, regardless of whether they purchase. Other programs pay commission solely on products sold.

2. How will the program help me? When you are just starting out, you will have many questions about the program. It is essential to do your research and find a program that offers help to beginners. 4. How flexible is the program? Many affiliate programs require a website on which you will place an affiliate link. If you do not have a website, locate a program that allows you to market through emails, articles and ezine advertisements etc.

5. What is the time frame for commissions? Locate an affiliate program that has a long return time. The return time is the length of time from the first time a consumer clicks on your informational link to the product to the time when they purchase the product. The longer the return time, the more likely you are to earn commissions. Longer return times allow consumers to think and come back, while you still gain a benefit from introducing them to the product.

Once you have narrowed your choices of affiliate programs in which to participate, choose one and get started. Stick with your program of choice for as long as necessary, as it will take time to develop a strong system and begin seeing results. There is nothing like that first commission to keep you going! Focus on your first sale, and then stay in it for the long haul. It is a cross-country race, not a sprint, but there is potential for great rewards, long-term.

I can predict exactly the amount of money a salesperson can earn. I have demonstrated this ability several times, and each time I was absolutely right.

Until you have become a professional salesperson, you may not realize that selling is an art and a science. The science part lets you predict exactly how much you can earn weekly, monthly, and annually.

This secret I will reveal to you today has been proven hundreds of times over and over with thousands of salespeople I have trained.

In 1981 when I managed seven salespersons, I started counting calls, presentations, and sales of my salespeople and I discovered this secret. I used this secret for myself after I moved to Denver, Colorado in 1984 and made my living selling for various companies, and I demonstrated its truth for myself hundreds of times over.

There was a 12 month period starting in 1987 that I was selling the same product over the telephone for this entire period. I set a goal to make 60 presentions every day over the telephone. At that time I was averaging one sale for every 10 sales. This meant I would average 6 sales every day, or 36 sales for the week, (a 6 day work week).

As long as I made those phone presentations every day, I could count on 36 sales every week. If I wanted to make more money I had to ways to do it:

1. More phone presentations 2. More sales with the same number of presentations.

We worked a split shift, from 9:00 AM to noon and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This left me 5 hours in the middle of each day to do with as I pleased. The rest of the crew would just waste this time in my opinion. I instead chose to spend this time improving my craft of sales, reading books written by sales, self motivation, and self improvement experts.

The other salespeople teased me about how much I read, but I didn’t let their derision stop me. I just kept on reading.

I improved my ratio to 1 sale for every 8 presentation calls in just two months by developing the sales skills in the books I read. By the end of one year, my ratio had reached 1 sale for every 3.2 presentations.

I had my sales approach to an exact science having learned the exact tone inflection to use on which prospects, which close to use and when. I was in total control of my own income.

Did you think sales was uncertain? You probably thought that being in sales was an uncertain profession. But it is not if you use my secrets I will reveal to you below. The fact was that each week my ratio was so certain it did not vary past 1 sale per 3.2 or 3.4. It was always that close.

Here is The Magic Secret of Numbers and Statistics in Sales.

It may seem boring to keep track of your sales statistics, but I have proven an almost supernatural like system doing just that. When you see the high income you can earn using this system, you will no longer find statistics boring. Here is how you use my secret magic system:

1. You need a product or service that people have a need and desire to possess.

2. You must work the same amount each time, and the same number of times each week. The numbers will NOT work for you if you do not keep a consistent schedule.

When I was tracking my response I would have days with no sales, a few sales and sometimes a lot of sales. The numbers did not work for me a day at a time. By by the end of each and every week I would have my average total for the entire week.

Here is a typical week with an average of 1 sale per 10 presentations: Monday 60 presentations 2 sales Tuesday 60 presentations 4 sales Wednesday 60 presentations 0 sales Thursday 60 presentations 8 sales Friday 60 presentations 14 sales Saturday 60 presentations 8 sales. Total for week 360 presentations 36 sales.

Now I never knew which days I would make the sales. But I knew for a fact by the end of the week if I kept all the ingredients of the secrets, I would have my average. If I skipped one day or a shift, my average was thrown off. Also if I was ill my average did not work. It was important to have all things consistant.

You can make the system work even if you can only work 1 hour every day. I recommend that a good schedule should be something every day for 5 or 6 days per week. But you must pick one schedule and do that schedule over and over.

3. A simple calendar on a piece of paper will do, but no matter what type of calendar you use, you must track your presentations and sales.

There is no need to track your calls or call backs. Those are totally unpredictable. Track your presentations and sales only.

A presentation is your attempt to explain your services to a person that has the authority to buy who then gives you a yes or a no. You have not made a presentation if the person you talk to does not have the authority to buy. You have not made a presentation if they tell you to call back.

4. You must stay in good health. If you are ill you can still make sales but the guaranteed income will not work. Get plenty of rest, some exercise, a good diet, and some recreation to keep yourself in good selling form.

5. Books and listening to tapes and seminars about improving your sales craft will take you to the next level. Napoleon Hill’s, Think and Grow Rich is one of the all time best sales books.

6. How many sales do you want to make each week, each month, and over the next year? Write it down! These are your weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals. I recommend posting that in a prominent place you will see every day.

Most new salespeople will be able to achieve 1 sale for every 10 presentations. You will make more sales per presentations as you get practice in selling. Just follow my secret method.
